Growth Groups

"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,

not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another,

and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." -Hebrews 10:24-25

What are Growth Groups?

"Growth groups" is a small group ministry of Concordia designed to engage people both in the study of God's Word and also in community with one another. Growth groups are designed to stay small; the goal is to have only 8-13 members in a group.

How often do they meet?

We get it; life is busy. Time is short. And long term, weekly commitments are hard. Growth groups are designed with this reality in mind. Groups generally will meet in a home or other agreed upon location every other week over the course of two months, with breaks in between topic sessions. This allows for the group to be a regular part of your life without overwhelming you with life's other responsibilities.

What does a typical session look like?

Here's what you can expect as you join with your session:

1. A time of casual interaction with community.

2. A dedicated study focused on God's Word led by someone trained to lead the group.

3. A time of prayer targeted toward bearing one another's burdens as we lift them up toward God.

All of this will take place in the time span of about an hour to an hour and a half.

How do I get involved?

No group? No problem! The goal of these is to engage people in community, so we'll get you involved in a group that you can flourish in!
