Concordia has sponsored adult short-term missions to:

 

China – 2003          Peru – 2004

Thailand – 2005

Ethiopia – 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2014

    (with a visit from our Ethiopian partners to Fort Wayne in 2012)

Brazil – 2013

Costa Rica - 2014 & 2015

 

In 2006, Concordia established a partnership with the Ethiopian Evangelical Lutheran Church Mekane Yesus in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Three trips to Ethiopia in 2006, 2008 and 2010 helped grow the partnership between Concordia Lutheran Church and School and the Mekane Yesus Lutheran Church and School. In 2012, Pastor Markos Hadero and volunteer Mesfin Taye visited Fort Wayne to further bless the relationship. School children of Concordia, along with children from other Lutheran schools and congregation in the Fort Wayne area, have funded computers for use in the Mekane Yesus school. The team is seeking God’s will for a return trip to Ethiopia in Oct. 2016.

Concordia is open to additional short-term mission location ideas from Concordia members.

Concordia has partnered with Lutheran Hour Ministries and other Lutheran organizations on

previous short-term missions. Christians from other congregations have also partnered with Concordia teams.
