Concordia's Ministry Team consists of our three Pastors, our Director of Care Ministries and our School Principal. They are charged with enabling Concordia congregation to Engage People with Jesus, as together we WORSHIP, GROW, CARE and SHARE.
Pastor Don Sandmann

Pastor Don serves as Interim Senior Pastor on a part-time basis, coordinating the work of the Minstry Team, serving as liaison to the Board of Directors, and preaching once per month.
Most of Pastor Don's active ministry was in New Jersey, where he served three parishes before being elected as President of the New Jersey District, LCMS in 1985. In 2000 he and his family moved to Fort Wayne where he has had a busy retirement serving as a Regional Consultant for Capital Funding Services, LCEF.
He and his wife, Marilyn, are fortunate that their daughter and family, including two grandsons, moved to Fort Wayne with them. Their son and daughter-in-law live in the Philadelphia, PA area.
Pastor Doug Croucher

One of our Associate Pastors is Douglas Croucher, who spearheads our GROW ministries.
Doug Croucher is one of our Associate Pastors here at Concordia Lutheran. He has served here as a Pastor since 2004. Primary areas of responsibility revolve around Youth Ministry, Bible Studies and Small Group ministry.
Pastor Doug was grew up in the wonderful town of Chardon, Ohio. After High School, he attended Concordia Ann Arbor in Michigan graduating with a Education Degree in May of 1986.
His first call was to Saint John in Oxnard California where he served as 8th Grade Teacher and Youth Director, from 1986 through 1995. While serving there, two life changing events occurred: 1. In 1989- when he went on his first mission trip. This mission changed him and his ministry forever! 2. In 1990- God brought into his life the love of his life~ Sharon McGee. Over the years God blessed them with three children~ Nathanael, Kaleb, and Veronica.
In 1995, he took a call to serve Bethlehem Lutheran in Lakewood Colorado. There he served as an 8th grade teacher, lead youth ministry, coach sports, and lead two mission trips to Mexico. In 1998, he felt led to become a pastor. So he packed up his family and began his studies in 1998.
While studying for the Pastoral ministry, he served here at Concordia as the Youth Director from 1998-2002. Again, youth mission was one of his core principles as they built homes and proclaimed Jesus in Mexico.
After completing his studies in 2002, he received a call to serve Our Savior Lutheran in Newark, Ohio. In November of 2004, Pastor Doug returned to Concordia.
Kim Pape | Director of Care Ministries

Kim Pape heads up our Compassion (CARE) ministries and has been doing so since 2005. Caring for people and helping others to care is very natural and satisfying for Kim. But nothing is more satisfying than witnessing the care for others that is not "directed" but simply flows from the hearts of Concordia people.
Born and raised right here in Ft. Wayne, Kim is quite content to "bloom" where God has planted her. She is married to husband, Marc and together they enjoy two grown children and one amazing grandson.
To relax and recharge, Kim enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, gardening, and backyarding. ~ oh, and a newfound love ~wii bowling!
Claron Hanefeld | Interim School Principal

Claron is retired and has more than 40 years of experience in EACS (East Allen Community Schools) education as a teacher, principal, administrator and head of technology. He has also served recently as Interim Principal at St. John's, Flatrock. Presently he is working with Bob Boyd in transition to his Interim position with us.
