We’re taking a look at the 12 men Jesus chose to follow him as “disciples”; those he later sent out as “apostles.” Like us, they were ordinary people, made extraordinary in God’s mission. James the Less is the disciple in focus today. Next week it’s two disciples: Simon and Judas ben James. After that, it’s just Judas Iscariot and Matthew.
Our thanks to Becky Boyd who is playing the organ at the 8 and 10:30 Sunday worship services while Tim Taube is away. We appreciate Becky’s fine contributions to our worship!

You appreciate your friend’s concern. But until things do get better, you need extra support. A Stephen Minister would like to provide that caring concern by being there to listen. If you feel a need for this kind of care, or know someone who does, call Kim Pape at 422-2429 ext. 107 or email kpape@concordiachurch.org. Please do not report a friend’s need without first asking his or her permission to do so.
It is a free and joyous activity of the child of God and God's family, the church, in managing all of life and life's resources for God's purposes.
We’re slowly “catching up” on our offering income. That is, our level of giving is rising to the level we expect and need. We have cut in half the $55,000 we’ve been behind year to date. We also continue to look for cost savings and reductions in what we planned to spend. That’s a continuing process for the Ministry Team. We thank our people for their response and pray that God would continue to move us toward accomplishing what He wants to see done.
More people are needed to run the audio/visual equipment in the sanctuary and in the gym for weekend worship. You’ll need some knowledge of computers, but also be open to learn the necessary skills for effectively running such things. Either call the church office or see Scott Stellhorn or Nathan Grepke.
